Since the end of November, the TXH Racing team has been working on the all-new VW Polo R5. The workshop of Theux is in effervescence because the first deadline is near.
Indeed, hopes are on the Frenchman Nicolas Ciamin who will be driving the VW Polo THX Racing at the next Monte Carlo Rally (24-27 January). Vice-champion of the World Junior WRC in 2017, 1st in the GT + class at the French Rally Championship in 2018, Nicolas Ciamin had already been spotted in 2014 by being elected as "Espoir Echappement".
Backed by Yannick Roche, Nicolas Ciamin will discover the VW Polo on the first round of the world rally championship, after a test ride organized in Theux.
The VW Polo R5 appeared in competition at the last Catalunya WRC Rally at the hands of Eric Camilli and Petter Solberg. It won its first rally in Norway in December with rallycross world champion Johan Kristofferson at the paddles.
Nicolas Ciamin will participate in the WRC2 and will be able to compete against Ole-Christian Veiby, also aboard a VW Polo R5.
