THX Racing and Nicolas Ciamin not concealing their ambitions in anticipation of the ADAC Rallye Deutschland

For the THX Racing team the summer recess is over, having headed off for Germany with a view to preparing for the ADAC Rallye Deutschland. The Theux based team will almost be on home ground during this German round of the World Rally Championship, entering a Volkswagen Polo R5 for the Frenchman Nicolas Ciamin and Yannick Roche. A duo flying high with a great deal of ambitions …

“In my young career I have already competed in the ADAC Rallye Deutschland on four occasions, and that was already in WRC2, Nicolas Ciamin commented. More importantly it will be a question of avoiding making mistakes and blow-outs, keeping to the initial objective, which is to clock up scratches in WRC2 and to battle it out in the leading pack of that category. As we saw in Ypres the Polo R5 is at home on asphalt. But beware of the performances of the new Fabia R5, not forgetting the Fiesta R5, of which we know very little of its potential …Quite clearly Germany is the season’s top meeting, which implies that we will need to tackle it wisely. For Nicolas the challenge is even more fraught, because should he be playing up front everyone will find that to be quite normal. However, his recent performances have shown that under pressure he knows how to handle it … “

With top of the range competitors in WRC2, with a fair number of candidates in line for victory, the battle will be going full tilt as from the first few kilometres. In other words, along the banks of the Bostalsee, the verdant décor of the Rallye Deutschland 2019, pressure is now starting to build …
